How it works

A safe place for the number you are leaving behind.

Number Harbor keeps the transition understandable from subscription through transfer, everyday use, and eventual release.

01

Subscribe first

Choose Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, or Enterprise through Apple. Billing starts when Apple confirms your purchase.

02

Submit the transfer

Provide the phone number, current carrier, account details, authorized name, and service address exactly as they appear on your bill.

03

Follow its progress

Carrier transfers commonly take days and can take longer if information is rejected or needs correction.

04

Receive important texts

Once active, incoming texts appear in your Number Harbor inbox with search, notifications, blocking, and reporting.

05

Reply on Pro or higher

Reply from your old number when needed. Number Harbor remains a continuity service, not a replacement for your everyday messenger.

06

Leave safely

After cancellation, your paid period stays active. When it ends, you have 30 days to reactivate or transfer the number before release.

The 30-day protection window

You can still get the number back.

Canceling does not release your number right away. Your service remains active until the paid period ends. After that, messages pause and the number enters a 30-day protection window, giving you time to reactivate Number Harbor or transfer the number to another carrier.

1. Paid period

Messages continue normally until the subscription period you already paid for ends.

2. Protection window

You have 30 days to reactivate the subscription or request a support-assisted transfer out.

3. Release

After 30 days, the number is released and may be permanently unavailable.

History

Existing messages remain read-only and follow your selected retention period.
